My Ert Poem
With this broken leg of mine I am now inert.
In six weeks, when it heals, I will then be ert.
It started just a week ago, when I was playing in the dirt.
A big steel girder fell on my leg, man that really hurt.
A string of very bad things I did then loudly blurt,
Drawing an evil eye from a woman in a skirt.
A construction worker called for help, I think his name was Kurt.
I saw him borrow a cell phone from the woman in the skirt.
The help came in the form of an EMT named Bert.
The reason that I know this is it said so on his shirt.
When I was on painkillers I thought my name was Englebert.
But after they wore off to my real name I did revert.
After I got a cast I returned home to my yurt,
The doctor said in no time I will again be ert.
Ode To Ert by Mika
I fell down today-
It hurt like a monkey, but
It's great to be ert.
A World Without Ert by Mika
"What is 'ert'," I asked.
"Go check the dictionary."
But I don't see it.
What A Dumb Man Websters Is by Katie
Ert should be a word,
Yet Webster thinks that's absurd
But what does he know?
